Patterson, NY – Don’t pack away your sundresses and fancy hats just yet. The summer is just heating up and the 2014 Victory Cup® Polo Match promises to be “The Best Party of The Summer.”

Previously held at Greenwich Polo Club, the Victory Cup is an annual polo match that is being hosted on Saturday, September 6, 2014 in the gorgeous Hudson Valley Region on a working farm, while conveniently located just minutes from Metro North.

Some polo events can be a tad pretentious, but not this one. The Victory Cup has broken the mold and is a polo match that everyone can enjoy. This event is all about meeting great people, respecting the sport, the horses, the players, and having a great time! Come, relax and enjoy the best day of your life.

The Victory Cup has something for everyone! Gates open for the action packed day at 1PM with a car show featuring some of the most expensive and exotic cars from around the world. For “Polo Fans in Training,” the children’s playground will feature fun and activities to keep the youngsters busy until the first “Chukker.” Fashionistas are encouraged to participate in the fashion show that features the trendiest looks from the New York City fashion corridor. The Victory Cup is also a pet friendly event! In fact, your furry little friends are encouraged to participate in a pet parade that will take place right before the horses hit the field!

The VIP tent will feature local farm-to-table foods from premium Hudson Valley restaurants. Attendees over the age of 21 will be able to indulge in the finest local beer, wine, and sprits that the Hudson Valley has to offer.

Two premier polo teams, The New York City Empires and The Washington DC Patriots, will do battle with one goal in mind: to be crowned the 2014 Victory Cup champions! The two teams include world-renowned players with a common mission: to bring the love of the game to a wider audience, and bring cultures together in a celebration of both their common bonds and their diversity.

The founder of The Victory Cup, Greg Ball, originally started the event as a political fundraiser that was hosted during his time in public office. Now that Greg is returning to the private sector, The Victory Cup lives on as a private, for profit event.

“This is my tenth year of hosting an annual polo match! The Victory Cup has become known as ‘The Best Party of the Summer,’ and for good reason! I am excited that we are now expanding to both Austin and New Orleans, making 2014 the best year ever. I’m looking forward to some awesome polo and meeting tons of awesome people,” said Greg Ball.

Greg has recruited some of the best talent to co-host this year’s event including Greenwich native, Jen Danzi. For the last 6 years, Jen has successfully produced an annual polo match. Always a supporter of Greenwich Polo Club, Jen was asked in 2008 to come on board to co-produce the Ivy Cup at Greenwich Polo Club. After two years of attracting an audience from near and far, Jen teamed up with Greg to produce The Victory Cup, and in 2012 and 2013 Jen developed and produced the Greenwich Cup. Having great success and fun working together as a team, Jen and Greg are coming together once again to bring “The Best Party of the Summer” to Beaver Creek Farm.

“I’m looking forward to spending an awesome afternoon outdoors with friends from near and far while watching one of my favorite sports,” said Jen Danzi.

In addition to Jen Danzi, Greg has also recruited Greenwich socialite and polo enthusiast Ronda Underkofler. A Wyoming native and former beauty queen, Ronda has always had a passion for horses. Ronda’s philanthropic nature has led to her serve on numerous non-profit event committee’s including: Riverkeeper, R Baby Foundation, Pegusus Theraputic Riding, Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF), Red Ribbon Foundation, and Whitby School, to name a few.

“I am so excited to use the vast network I have built to make the 2014 Victory Cup the best party the Hudson Valley has seen this summer! With a diverse guest list ranging from young working professionals, national celebrities, TV personalities and extremely successfully entrepreneurs, this is the one party you can’t afford to miss,” said Ronda Underkofler.
